Our Work

Real products built with AI — honest about the process, transparent about the tools.

Tend

Tend is a personal task and habit management app built for iOS. It started as a simple idea — a calmer way to track the things that matter — and became a full product built almost entirely through AI-assisted development.

It is the first complete application shipped under the Envision8 name. From initial concept through to App Store submission, Tend is a real example of what becomes possible when you work with AI as a genuine collaborator rather than a tool.

How We Built It

The Problem

Most task and habit apps feel like they're designed for productivity maximalists — full of features, dashboards, and friction. The goal with Tend was simpler: a quiet, focused space to track the small things you want to stay on top of, without the app getting in the way.

The gap wasn't in the market, it was personal. A tool that felt calm and considered rather than demanding. Something worth opening each morning.

The Approach

The build started with conversations — working through what the app needed to be before writing a single line of code. Claude Code became the primary development environment, with the design and development happening in tight iteration cycles rather than traditional phases.

Each feature was scoped, built, and tested before moving to the next. The structure stayed lean throughout — no unnecessary complexity, no features added just because they could be.

Where AI Contributed

AI wrote the majority of the code. That is a straightforward fact worth saying plainly. Claude Code handled the Swift and SwiftUI implementation, worked through architecture decisions, and debugged issues that would have taken days to resolve manually.

The direction, the decisions about what to build and what to cut, the judgement calls on design and experience — those remained human. AI accelerated the execution; the thinking behind it was not outsourced.

The Result

Tend is a complete, working iOS application currently in the App Store review process. It is functional, polished, and built to a standard that would not have been achievable in this timeframe without AI-assisted development.

It is also proof of a way of working. The Tend build is the clearest example yet of what the Envision8 approach looks like in practice — and it will not be the last.
